The PM Projection feature allows you to view the PM work orders that will be generated in the future, based on their PM Schedules. To turn this feature on, first click the wrench icon to bring up the options menu. There, you’ll see “PM Projection” as one of your choices. Click it to put a check mark next to it and display the projected PM’s on the calendar, grouped by their assets. It can be turned off in the same way.
Setting up PM’s
To set up a calendar based PM for projection, you’ll need to make sure the frequency is entered correctly and the “Next PM Date” field has a value in it. You’ll also have to turn the “On Calendar?” field to true.
If the PM schedule is meter based, its projection will be determined by the “Daily Average” field, which will need to have a value in it.
You can edit a PM schedule in the same way you edit an assignment. To edit an individual PM, simply click on it. The modify screen will show you various details about the PM. On a calendar based PM, you can modify “Produce Every?” “Calendar Based Freq,” and “Next PM Date.” If it’s a meter based PM, you can change “Produce PM Every?” “Occurs Desc,” “Meter Type,” and “Daily Avg.” After making changes, click the “Save” button and a message will come up asking you if you’re sure you want to modify the PM schedule. Just click OK to proceed. It’s important to keep in mind that you’re editing the PM schedule itself and not just one PM work order. If you change the frequency of the PM schedule, it will affect the dates of all the PM work orders that will be generated. Clicking the “Advanced” button will bring up another window that opens the PM schedule in edit mode.
Modifying a Group
Just like modifying a group of assignments, you can modify a group of PM’s, by clicking on the pencil icon in the upper-right hand corner of the box. This will let you change the various PM schedules in that block. You’ll see all of the same fields and, on the right side, an icon with an arrow. Clicking that will take you to the PM in edit mode, just like the “Advanced” button on the other screen.
This will bring up a window that allows you to select a filter. These filters are made in the same way as the work orders filters. Select a filter from the dropdown menu or click the "+" button to create a new one. You can also click the pencil button to edit the select filter. Lastly, click the "Save" button to apply the selected filter.
